Things to Know Before Booking Cirque Berserk Tickets

What Your Ticket Includes

Your ticket covers entry to one performance of Cirque Berserk at the Garrick Theatre, with the full international troupe performing live. Food, drink and merchandise are not included and are available to buy at the theatre.

Age Recommendations

The show is recommended for ages 5 and above. Children aged 14 or younger must be accompanied by an adult of 18 or over and seated in adjacent seats. Everyone needs their own ticket whatever their age.

Best Time to Attend

Afternoon performances tend to be the calmer choice with families, and evening shows draw the fullest, noisiest house. The run is a short West End season, so weekend performances and the half-term dates fill up first.

Facilities

The theatre and bars open around an hour before the performance and the auditorium about 45 minutes before, with a cloakroom and bar snacks available. The Garrick is set up for families: there is a buggy park in the Gold Bar on the Grand Circle level, baby changing facilities in the accessible toilet on the Dress Circle level, booster seats to pick up at the auditorium entrances and kid-friendly drinks and snacks at every bar. The box office opens at midday on performance days and can be reached on 0330 333 4811.

Accessibility

Nimax Theatres offers wheelchair positions with adjacent companion seats, end-of-aisle seating across the auditorium and central row seating in the stalls, and access bookers can get up to two seats at a reduced rate so a companion or carer effectively goes free. Audio described, British Sign Language, captioned, chilled and relaxed performances run across the Nimax venues on selected dates. Access tickets can be booked online, or you can speak to the access team on 0330 333 4815, Monday to Saturday 10am to 7.30pm.

How Long Is Cirque Berserk?

Cirque Berserk runs for approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes, including an interval.

The theatre and bars open around an hour before the performance and the auditorium about 45 minutes before, so there is time to settle in before the lights go down. Latecomers may only be admitted at a suitable break, and with an act running at all times there are few of those, so it is worth arriving early.

How to get there

Venue: Garrick Theatre, 2 Charing Cross Road, London WC2H 0HH

By tube: Leicester Square on the Northern and Piccadilly lines is the nearest station, around two minutes' walk. Charing Cross on the Northern and Bakerloo lines is four to five minutes away, and Embankment on the District and Circle lines and Covent Garden on the Piccadilly line are both close by.

By train: Charing Cross is the nearest mainline station, about three minutes on foot.

By bus: Routes 3, 6, 9, 12, 13, 15, 23, 24, 29, 30, 91 and 139 all stop nearby, along with night services.

By car: The theatre has no parking of its own. The nearest options are JustPark at Trafalgar Square and Titan at Leicester Square. The Congestion Charge applies on weekdays and ULEZ charges may apply, so public transport is usually easier.

Food and Drink

Cafe in the Crypt
Three minutes' walk at St Martin-in-the-Fields on Trafalgar Square, in a vaulted brick crypt under the church. Self-service salads, jacket potatoes, fish and chips and cakes at prices that work for a family, with plenty of seating and step-free access by lift. Closes late afternoon, so it suits a matinee.

Dishoom Covent Garden
Four minutes away at 12 Upper St Martin's Lane, a Bombay Irani-cafe dining room over two floors and one of the Garrick's own recommendations. Black daal, chilli chicken and bacon naan rolls, open from breakfast until late. Tables after 6 pm are only bookable for groups of six or more.

Covent Garden Piazza
Six minutes' walk and the obvious pairing with a circus show: street performers under the market's glass roof, plus dozens of cafes, pizza counters and ice cream stops around the colonnades. Easy with children and no booking needed.

Chinatown
Gerrard Street is about five minutes from the theatre, with dozens of Cantonese, Sichuan and Malaysian kitchens, dim sum parlours and bakeries. The most reliable option for a large group or a late supper after the show.
